One thing that irritates me, are the so called experts (non alcoholics), who are constantly out there, commenting on the program. They’ve never walked in the shoes of real alcoholics. They have no idea what it’s like to have a craving, which Dr. Silkworth said, is a phenomenon reserved only to the alcoholic.<\/p>\n
A friend of mine recently sent me an almost unending article. I’m sure it was to impress the medical and psychiatric men and women on just how sophisticated he is. Funny thing. It starts off with what is supposed to be a history of this program and Bill W. He not only doesn’t have the facts, but has a completely perverted vision of Bill and Dr. Bob. I think if we asked him who Mrs. Seiberling was he’d babble. Let alone Dr. Jung and Rowland H. He seems to have no idea how vital they were to this program.<\/p>\n
What is the supposed theme? No one understands how AA works or why? But, hold on. He’s sure he does. What a whale of a brilliant man. Writer. What’s that they say about being lower than whale ….?<\/p>\n
Anyway, after having plowed my way through all this stuff, which says AA is group therapy. That we all need medication. That anyone could do this. Wow! What a brilliant man.<\/p>\n
I am sitting here trying to cool off. I hate this kind of junk. But, what else is new?<\/p>\n
