This day’s group meeting of sober alcoholics was amazing. It was about us practicing our devotion to our Higher Power, and doing what we need to do. It’s about not just working these Steps, but also being faithful to our Higher Power and depending on His help for us, which we desperately need.<\/p>\n
One member didn’t believe alcoholism is a disease, but, like drugs, an habitual problem. But then one alcoholic pointed out what doctors had declared, as a result of long term examinations of alcoholics, that we are born with this disease. I have never forgotten what was proven by in depth examinations and physical tests.<\/p>\n
But then almost all members talked about their having to believe and to practice this program in depth. It was a very healthy description for all of us. Made myself and many others very grateful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
