Today at our meeting we talked about the Eleventh Tradition, our being protected from publicity. And for myself and so many others like us, this is a very great gift to us.
I’ve known a few, who stepped out into the open, and hopefully they didn’t open the rest of us to the public. Like I said, I know I personally don’t want to be made open to the public about me and my drunken disease. Nor do others want go there either.
This makes me go back and admire all those, who followed Bill and Dr. Bob and the rest of those early recovering drunks, who had gone back and looked at what had happened to the large early group, around the Civil War, who had fell apart, because they lacked the rules we all need to help ourselves and others like ourselves.
I know the gifts I have received in here have changed my whole way of life. I know that I never want to advertise the life I had out there or in here either. But I also have not only change the way I have been given, but to be open to the very spiritual way of life, which has blessed me and so many others like myself.
Anyway, I had to take the time to step aside and think about all the blessings, and this way of life we have been given. I know that I am so grateful to not just the program itself and the changes we are given over time, but the spiritual way of life for all of us.
