Today was rather grim winter’s day. We drove through some heavy snow at first, but later ran into a huge accident on our main highway, and had to go on a tough old country road, which took us forever. Yet we never quit and never gave up.
On the other hand we stayed stable and had much of why we are here on our minds. Staying sober was right there all the way. Made me and others positive and willing to talk about our way of living this way of life.
That’s what went on in our meeting early, and then at lunch later on. And that’s where we all got into a lot of our history and how we continue to stay sober a day at a time.
Anyway I found our trip home a long timer, but worth every thing to me, and I’m sure the driver and his friend and myself. It made the snow storm more pleasant and worthwhile. I was grateful, as I’m sure the others were. I could thank my Higher Power for all that was done for us. And I was reminded of how much I owe to so many others in here. I need to also say thanks to them.
Just have to express my gratitude to this way of life I have been given for a day at a time.
