At today’s meeting we did the Eleventh Step in the 12&12. It was really good. Very interesting. But I had to stick with the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. It not only caught my eye, but my attention. What has always been a very thoughtful prayer, covering so much of his desire to do the right things he believed our Higher Power wanted him to think of and do. And I agree.
I was so glad we were doing this Step, because it was such a good reminder to this member of this program. It made me back up and think, which this quiet reminder caused me to do. That’s because I had forgotten about this a while ago. It was obviously something I definitely needed. A great reminder, which makes me so very grateful.
Anyway I know I have a lot of thinking to do. Hopefully I will be able to do it over time in here. Perhaps I may be able to share my thoughts. It’s a great reminder of the spiritual aspect of this program, as well as a lot of things it helps me to remember. I know I have to be able to express my gratitude for the faith, the hope, and the love, and compassion, which was given to me by my Higher Power. And, of course, so many members, who also have helped me to understand and do this way of life in here.
